We started this album with one goal in mind: jams. The first season of Bootleg Series was like a training, breathing new life into New Threads tracks and letting that energy transfer into new songs, like "Bringing Me Down." But we also wrote songs like "Head in the Sand" and "Womble," and that grabbed our attention and pulled so much harder than the other songs. So we naturally scrapped everything except for the dark, moody, jam-heavy tracks, and after scaling down what started as a 97-minute album (I have that mix still) to a mere 51 minutes, I am proud to properly introduce the world (or at least our followers) to Free Rock. We do some concept-album-adjacent things here, with the tracks loosely telling the story of Threadsboro mafia man Rock Anderson on the run. It's weird. It's loony. But I think you'll love it.
